Can I Throw My Neighbor’s Leaves Back?

Can I Throw My Neighbor’s Leaves Back?

When leaves fall depends on several factors. In general, deciduous trees and shrubs lose their leaves in the fall because of a lack of sunlight (or reduced sunlight) and cold temperatures.

This is necessary for the tree to get ready for winter, like storing food in preparation for a long winter’s sleep. Some trees and shrubs lose all their leaves at once, while others drop their leaves gradually over several weeks.

The main problem is when the leaves of your neighbor blow into your yard.

Ways to Stop a Neighbor’s Leaves From Blowing into Your Yard

The first step in preventing a neighbor from blowing leaves into your yard is to talk to them. If you have a good relationship with them, then this should be easy. You can just tell them that their leaves are blowing into your yard, and ask if they’d be willing to help you out.

They may not even realize that it’s happening! If you’re not on friendly terms with your neighbor, don’t bother asking them for help. It will only make things worse, as they could interpret it as you trying to get them in trouble with the homeowner’s association or something else. Just let the leaves fall where they may and clean up after yourself.

Can i throw my neighbors leaves back?

Yes. You can throw them back but you will just have to get it next year again.

What if i want to throw my neighbors leaves to the wind?

I would not recommend this. You will find them all over your lawn next fall.

What are some of my leaf vacuuming options?

There are many ways to vacuum up your leaves. It all depends on the size of your yard, how hard you want to work and how much money you are willing to spend.

  1. Rake them up into a pile.
  2. Bag them up and throw them into your garbage can or a large dumpster.
  3. Have a leaf vacuum service come and do it for you.
  4. Rent a leaf vacuum machine or buy one and do it yourself at your leisure.
  5. Hire a leaf cleaning service.

I recommend option 4 or 5 if you have a lot of leaves to clean up. I have tried all of the other methods and I always come back to the leaf vacuum machine.

What leaves will a leaf vacuum pick up?

You can clean up almost any type of leaves. The only leaves that will not be picked up are the very small ones.

What kinds of leaves could damage my leaf vacuum?

There are some types of leaves that could damage it, but you should be able to avoid this by being careful around them.

  1. Leaves that have been wet a long time – These can cause the vacuum bag to rot and start to stink, which will make you want to throw the bag away.
  2. Small leaves – Try not to vacuum these up or they will clog your machine up and you will have a hard time emptying it out.
  3. Leaves with stickers or thorns – These can get caught in your machine and you might have a hard time getting them out. You could tear your vacuuming hose or end up having holes in your bag if you don’t watch out for these types of leaves.

How do i clean my leaf vacuum?

You should avoid getting leaves or other things in your machine. If you do happen to get something in it, then you will have to take apart the hose and try to get it out. It is better if you just avoid these things from going into your machine in the first place.

I am going to recommend that you buy a leaf vacuum with a bag that is easy to clean. You don’t want the bag on the inside of your vacuuming hose because it could cause damage. I would recommend that you buy one that has a filter or some sort of device on the inside of your vacuuming hose. They are usually easy to take apart and clean out and it makes keeping your machine clean a lot easier.

What kind of equipment will i need for my leaf vacuum?

You will need various equipment depending on how much space you have, how hard you want to work and how much money you are willing to spend. Here are some ideas:

  1. A lawn mower – Many people use their lawn mowers for this task in order to save time and make sure they don’t miss any leaves. You should be careful when using this method or you could end up looking like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-S3xlRPqmM&feature=related . I would not recommend using this method unless you know exactly what you are doing! You can use an old mower if you need it, but make sure it is working properly first!
  2. A garden rake – This is the best way to pick up a large amount of leaves. Make sure you have a place to put them afterwards though!
  3. A leaf vacuum machine – These are great for cleaning up your entire yard quickly without having to do any work at all!
  4. Some people use their leaf blowers, but they aren’t as good at picking up leaves as other methods.
  5. Some people hire a professional gardener or a landscaping company to do their yardwork for them.
